The emblematic Super U, Chamonix's historic building, is getting a facelift.
This building in the heart of Chamonix town centre is, like its owner, an emblem of the town.
The aim of restoring the exterior facade is to create a magnificent fresco depicting the history of Chamonix's great alpinists and local personalities.
The owner wants to restore the building to its former beauty and elegance, with a pinkish-red paintwork finish, just as it was in the early days.
